On Thursday 30th April at 10:30am a gathering of friends and family met at Tynemouth Crematorium to bid farewell to Pat Bainbridge. There was plenty of room to be able to socially distance and the weather was kind with the sun coming out just at the right time. The eulogy which was lovely was relayed to outside speakers so we could hear Pat’s story. John with a small group of close family and friends then laid the beautiful flowers in the Garden of Remembrance. Pat had been a stalwart member of Parklands for so many years giving so much to the ladies section, as she did to life in general. The pinnacle of her golfing career was becoming Bronze champion in 2018, we were all so delighted for her, but she will be remembered for so much more, her caring nature, her willingness to help, her years on the committee, her support of the junior girls and probably most of all for her smile and cheeky chuckle. We will all miss Pat greatly.
