On a sunshine filled day, perfect for a golf competition, the weather was matched with some splendid golf on a course in excellent condition. With over a hundred and forty members and guests playing in Gavin Jobe’s big day, there were lots of great scores to win lots of great prizes. We were catered for with a barbecue on the 9th and the odd beverage was taken, but nothing could stop the scores getting lower and lower as the day went on. There were 42 scores below par and some members will have had their handicaps cut without winning a prize. Such is life! However, the highest stableford score on the day goes to David Harrison with 44 points and the first prize on the lavishly stocked prize table. Thanks to the ladies who helped out throughout the day, Maureen Jenkins, Barbara Newman and Sarah Howson and to all the people who donated raffle prizes and who bought the tickets. Well done Gavin. The full results and prize winners are on the Men’s Results Tab.
