The Rabbits visited Boldon Golf Club on Saturday, 21st May for their first team match of the 2016 season. With the weather changing by the hour, it was only the early players who had to endure 4 holes of rain before the sun came out and left us with just a very strong wind to contend with. The warmer afternoon enabled the team to show off their bright pink team shirts and the Parklands players were recognisable wherever they went on the course. Boldon course was in very good condition and the greens were very fast and some of the pin positions would have graced the PGA tour: Unforgiving is the word that comes to mind. On the whole, the scoring was low with 30 points being a reasonable target for the conditions. Our top scorer was Stuart Parker with 33 points, well done Stuart. Eamon Farrar also reached the target score of 30 points. The Parkland team finished in 4th position on the day. Our next fixture is at Wearside on Sunday, 12th June so keep your eyes open for the team entry sheet.
