Despite having a written and signed agreement with the Company for block bookings (used for our section competitions) at agreed times throughout the week, the Company has decided unilaterally, to remove all the weekly competition block bookings from the 1st April.
Please read the attached which is applicable to all our membership and respond accordingly.
Can you please comment on the Company letter informing the Club Committee on how club competitions will run from this April.
The main change is that they are going to take away all the sections block bookings for tee times for our club competitions. This would result in there being no start sheets, members would need to book a tee time themselves for the day of the competition they wish to enter by using the club booking system. Also, members would have to find their own playing partners.
Your club committee does not agree with this we would like to keep the current block-booked tee times. We feel this helps with new members joining the club to find members to play with, it supports members playing with different players and it helps with the social side of the club (every golfer likes to meet up in the clubhouse to say how good or how bad they played after a game over a drink).
The committee is asking every member to read the attachment and if they want to keep the block bookings or if they are happy to let the company implement these changes to let us and the company know.
