The Men’s Committee is currently considering a proposal to amend the qualifying conditions for members of Parklands to win the Men’s Club Championship.
Currently, the Championship can only be won by players whose home club is Parklands Golf Club.
The proposal being considered is that the Championship would be open to members who are defined as ‘away’ players at Parklands (ie they are members of another club which they have designated as their home club). The proviso is that to be eligible to win the Championship, they must also have played in at least 3 Sunday qualifying competitions prior to the Championship qualifiers.
If you have strong opinions on this proposal, please make them known to Kenny Shepherd, the Men’s Chairman or Tommy Watson, the Men’s Secretary, before the end of September.
